Swedish Massage

This is the most common type of full-body massage therapy in the United States. It is also known as, simply massage therapy. Massage therapist use long smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements on superficial layers of muscle using massage lotion. This type of massage is considered to be one of the most relaxing styles. Your massage therapist will adjust the pressure according to your sensitivity and preference. Swedish massage decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body. It also reduces anxiety and boost energy levels.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but focused on deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints) to target knots and release chronic muscle tension. Deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension.

1 hour – $65,  1,5 hour – $90,    2 hours – $130

 

 

Neuromuscular Massage (Trigger Point Therapy)

Trigger points are sore, painful spots that occur in a muscle. Most people refer to trigger points as knots. They are called trigger points because they “trigger” a painful response that often refers pain to different parts of your body. Trigger Point Massage uses concentrations of finger pressure on each trigger point to prevent cycles of muscle pain and spasms. It restores muscle strength, increases flexibility and relieves pain. Trigger Point Massage provides benefits after just one session. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal Massage is a nurturing massage that focuses on the special needs of mothers-to-be during pregnancy. Positioning, pillows and cushions are used to enhance support, decrease pressure and increase relaxation for both body and mind. Mother and baby share in the benefits as stress and tension melt away, leaving you feeling balanced and energized. Relief of stress on feet, ankles, lower back and neck, as well as reducing swelling, are all benefits of a Prenatal Massage. Prenatal massage is only performed after the first trimester. It is advised that you consult with your doctor to see if prenatal massage is right for you.

1 hour – $60,  1,5 hour – $90 ,   2 hours – $120

 

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Massage is a form of massage therapy that follows the same principles of Swedish Massage with the addition of heated basalt stones, which helps lead to deep relaxation and reduce muscle tension. Adding heat to specific areas on the body enhances the feelings of relaxation and peace. Recommended in particular for individuals suffering from fibromyalgia, arthritis or other chronic pain. The penetrating effects of the heated stones allows the massage to be delivered without excessive pressure.

1 hour – $75,  1,5 hour – $110, 2 hours – $150
